AZ Pick 4 features several play types that create vastly different outcomes, odds, and prize tiers. This page explains each play type clearly so that you can select the one you like best the next time you play.
Win by matching the numbers in the exact order they’re drawn. This is the most standard play type that offers the biggest payouts, including the top prize of $5,000. It’s also the hardest one to win, as it can only be done one way.
Win by matching the numbers in any order. This one allows lots of different winning combinations, but the prizes aren’t as big. Use our ‘Winning Combinations’ generator below to find out how many ways you can win with a single 4-digit number.
Straight/Box splits your fixed $1 wager between a Straight play and a Box play. If you match the numbers in the exact order they’re drawn, you will win the combined Straight/Box prize (up to $3,100 depending on your number combination). Match the numbers in any order to win the Box portion of the prize.
Win by matching the Front Pair, Back Pair, or Middle Pair of the drawn numbers in their exact positions. You choose which Pair you want to bet on for a top prize of $50 per $1 play.
There are multiple number selections you can use in Arizona Pick 4. You can choose four of the same numbers, three of the same and one unique, four different numbers, or any other combination for a different experience every time.
In Box play, the number of ways you can win is indicated by the name of the play type (4-way, 6-way, 12-way, 24-way).
